Privacy

Privacy policy.

The short, honest version: we only collect what you hand us to start a conversation, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time.

Last updated: July 2026. This policy covers blacklizard.com, operated by Black Lizard Interactive (San Francisco, CA).

What we collect

Contact form. When you send a message, we collect the name, email, project interest, and message you provide — so we can reply.

Interactive tools. Our calculators run entirely in your browser; the numbers you enter are not transmitted to us. If you choose to download a results PDF, we collect the email you enter and a short text summary of that scenario, so we can follow up if you'd like help. Providing an email is optional — the tools work without it.

Analytics. We use privacy-respecting usage analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand which pages are useful — things like pages viewed, approximate region, and device type. We don't use this to identify you personally.

Scheduling. If you book a call, that happens on Calendly, which collects the details you enter to schedule it.

Why we collect it

Only to respond to you, deliver what you asked for, and improve the site. That's it. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don't send marketing you didn't ask for.

Who processes it

We keep our stack small and rely on a few reputable processors, each handling data under their own terms: Web3Forms (delivers contact-form and PDF-download submissions to our inbox), Google Analytics (usage analytics; sets cookies), Calendly (call scheduling, if you use it), and Firebase Hosting by Google (serves this site; keeps standard server logs). We don't run our own advertising or data-broker integrations.

Cookies

The only non-essential cookies come from Google Analytics. You can block or clear them in your browser, or use a tracker-blocking extension, and the site will still work.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and inquiry details only as long as we're in contact or as needed for our records, then delete them. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

Your rights

Wherever you're based — including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA — you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. We honor those requests. To make one, reach us through the contact form and mention "privacy request"; we'll take care of it promptly and won't charge you or make you jump through hoops.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
